I am writing on behalf of the Executive Committee of the Communist Party of Britain to express our deep condolences at the death of Comrade Aslam.
Comrade Aslam’s contribution to the Communist movement was maintained over seven decades from the fight for independence to the fight against military and authoritarian rule today.
Our party is proud of its long standing links during the independence struggle with the Communist Party of India and with the historic Communist Party of Pakistan and its successor organization today.We are aware of the importance of the organizational work of Comrade Aslam at every stage and his unremitting commitment to the objective of socialism.
His unwavering lead as a communist despite imprisonment and legal attack is an example to communists everywhere.
