Condolence Message from Labour party Pakistan
LPP says death a great loss to Left movement in Pakistan
Veteran and respected left leader C R Aslam died in Lahore on July 10 at the age of 98.
Labour Party Pakistan shares the sad feelings of fellow comrades to mourn the death f veteran Socialist leader C.R. Aslam. Our condolences to National Workers Party and family members of C.R. Aslam. It is indeed a great loss to the Left movement in Pakistan particularly and internationally in general. He has been a committed communist all his life.
He was pioneer of several struggles of the working class and peasants. As an advocate, he was able to save the land of the peasants belonging to Military Farms in Lahore . He fought in the courts to get the rights of the tenants to cultivate the land. When Pakistan Kissan Rabita Committee organized its historic Kissan conference at Minar-i-Pakistan on 4th February 2007, his work was remembered by the peasants during the mobilization for the conference.
To pay tribute the life long struggle of C.R. Aslam for a Socialist Pakistan and world, LPP along with other left parties in Pakistan will continue its commitment to build a socialist movement in Pakistan able to carry through a socialist revolution.
